Hand Designed Invitation – Found In All Colors, Styles and Sizes

New designs in accessories for the bride and the bridal party as well as home décor and gifts for the newlyweds can be found at the 2003 Buyers Market of American Craft at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Nearly 70 artists are showcased in the Premiere Jewelry and Art-to-Wear preview which opens the show . New designs in 14kt/18kt gold, silver, platinum, diamonds and precious gemstones can be found in the Premiere Jewelry section where artists exhibit handcrafted engagement rings, wedding rings, tiaras and jewelry sure to suit the tastes of any American bride. In the Art-to-Wear section accessories for the bridal party such as silk scarves, neckties, woolen wraps and hats can be found in all colors, styles and sizes.

Home décor and gift ideas for the newlyweds can be found in new designs by glass, ceramics, wood, decorative fiber, metal and mixed media artists. The Inspired Interiors pavilion features 30 American and Canadian furniture and lighting designers displaying works based on tradition, invention, and the promotion of contemporary home design. Hundreds of other artists exhibit home accessories, including tableware, floor coverings, two-dimensional wall art, decorative home accent pieces and more.

Buyers can find unique items in addition to the traditional bridal merchandise such as hand-designed stationary for invitations, kaleidoscopes that use flower petals from the bride’s bouquet in the design, and hand-crafted boxes to be used in the presentation of the ring during a marriage proposal. Those looking to cater to the brides of Jewish faith can find hand-crafted kaleidoscopes that use the glass from the wedding glasses broken at the reception, candle holders, jewelry and garments used in the ceremony.

The Buyers Market of American Craft is a wholesale trade show providing artists an opportunity to build business relationships with retail buyers from across the United States and Canada. Nearly 2,000 artists exhibit to more than 7,000 retail buyers. The biannual show, held in February and July, has nearly $40 million in sales each year. The show is among the Top 200 Trade Shows in the U.S. according to Trade Show Week magazine.

The Buyers Market of American Craft is produced by The Rosen Group, an arts marketing and publishing firm based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Rosen Group publishes NICHE magazine, the exclusive trade publication for retailers of fine craft art, and AmericanStyle magazine, the arts and lifestyle magazine for collectors of fine American craft.
